I've been a Tanya Tucker fan for about twelve years now. I spent the first seven years gathering every album/CD in her discography. If you think that was easy, imagine trying to find a record that hasn't been heard of since 1975...multiply that by about ten....In the end, though, I managed to collect them all. If anyone is interested in finding out what her 33 albums were (and the songs that were on them), I have both a discography and an extended discography. The extended discography includes all the tracks on all the albums. It may just be the only one of its kind on the Internet. I certainly couldn't find one, so I decided to type one up myself. I'm also considering adding lyrics (with writer's credits, of course) to my site in the near future. If you have any particular songs you'd like to see the lyrics to, let me know.
Also, when I was young--18 to 21 or so-- and trying my hand at poetry (I was awful at it, by the way), I wrote a couple of poems on my perceptions of Tanya at the time. I've been less interested in the personal lives of the artists I enjoy listening to and watching on screen since then, but I'm including them here in case someone decides to read them. I warn you now that they aren't that great.
She's Come a Long Way
In 1997, there were a lot of "Everything I needed to know in Lifes" floating around. You know, "Everything I needed to know in life, I learned from Star Trek", or "Everything I needed to know in life, I learned from my cat". I decided to write my own Tanya Tucker centred one. Here's "Everything I Needed to Know in Life, I Learned from a Tanya Tucker Song".
I made a Tanya quiz to see which of Tanya's albums you are. It took me three or four days to make, so why don't you check it out.
